I have to say that this years baseball season is going to be difficult for a number of reasons but the main one is having no more Atlanta Braves on TBS. This is a franchise who have established themselves over the past 20 years by winning 13 division championships. I will now only be able to watch them on ESPN or when they play the New York Mets.
The second things that bothers me about this years off-season is the acquisitions Atlanta has made to supposedly make them stronger. I understand the new ownership is looking to cut payroll but they will soon relize that spending money is the name of the game. Adding Mark Kotsay and Tom Glavine is not going to make you a contender in the NL East. There were a number of CF's available and the best we could find is Mark "you don't" Kotsay. Add that one to your list Chris Berman.
I also want to respond to the comment my buddy from Hamilton made on people from Rochester. He is right on the money. Bad weather means a better opportunity to consume adult beverages and enjoy good times with friends. Nothing beats a cold brew, especially when it is Labatt Blue.
